UPCOMING EVENTS

The 2012 For Reel Video Contest has concluded and entries poured in from all over the Valley illustrating the simple lifestyle changes Valley residents are making each day, to make a big difference in our air quality. Participants were asked to create a 30-second video centered on this year’s theme, "Healthy Air, Healthy You." After narrowing it down to three finalists, we asked you to vote for the video that best captured what it means to live a healthy air life.

Congratulations to Andrew Beard, this year’s grand prize winner!

Andrew is a student at Frontier High School in Bakersfield. His entry highlights the importance of not using aerosol cans whenever possible to reduce emissions and air pollution. Thank you, Andrew, for your commitment to healthy air and a better quality of life for all Valley residents!

As the grand prize winner, Andrew’s video will be aired on TV, and he will receive a $100 iTunes gift card. All of the contest finalists have received an iPad 2.
